Getting your estimate
What happens between the first phone call and a number on paper.
How fast can you give me an estimate?
Two steps, and neither one costs anything. We book the on-site inspection within 48 hours, and your written, itemized quote is with you within 24 hours of that visit.
Do you provide samples for us to choose from?
Yes.
We bring physical shingle samples to the estimate so you can hold the color and profile against your own brick, trim, and daylight, which is the only place that choice is actually decided. You also keep the manufacturer's brochure for anything you are weighing up, from GAF and Owens Corning.
Do you offer financing?
Yes.
We partner with several lenders to offer flexible monthly payment plans, including options with $0 down and low fixed rates for qualified homeowners. We can review options with you during your estimate.
Three companies looked at the same roof and two told me to replace it. Rixa said I had a few good years left if they fixed the valley and sealed two of the roof boots. They'll get the big job when it's time.

Do you help with insurance claims?
Yes.
Storm and hail damage is one of our specialties. We perform a free inspection, document everything with photos, and meet your insurance adjuster on-site to make sure the scope of damage is fully and fairly represented. You handle the claim; we handle the roof.
Will you tarp my roof in an emergency?
Yes.
If a storm leaves your home exposed, we offer emergency tarping and board-up to prevent further water damage while your full repair or replacement is scheduled. Call our main line and we will prioritize your property.
The adjuster came out and wrote our hail damage off as cosmetic. Rixa got back on the roof, photographed the shingles the hail had bruised down to the mat, and asked for a re-inspection. Same house, different answer the second time. I wouldn't have known to push.
Materials and warranties
What goes on your roof, and the two warranties behind it afterwards.
What warranties do you offer?
Two, and they cover different things. The manufacturer's warranty covers the materials; its terms vary by product (typically 25 to 50 years), so we name the exact one for your chosen shingle on the written quote and spell it out in your contract before work begins. Ours covers our own work: on a full roof replacement or a full section replacement, we back our workmanship for ten years, written into that same contract, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell the house.
What roofing materials do you install?
Asphalt shingles, and architectural (laminated) ones rather than the older three-tab profile. That is the whole list, so the decisions left are the ones that actually change the roof: which shingle line and grade goes on, what color it reads as in your own daylight, and the manufacturer's warranty behind it, whose terms vary by product. We go through all three during the estimate.
Our upstairs ran ten degrees hotter than the rest of the house and we blamed the AC for four summers. During the tear-off they showed me the attic barely had any ventilation and added ridge vents and insulation. This was the first August we didn't have to shut the guest room off.
